Mobile Marketing Is Important To Both Large and Small Business
A year ago, most small business owners would have thought that only “Big Business” could afford to do any marketing, especially something called mobile marketing. Times were tough and resources had to be spent on things they already knew or at least familiar with.
Classified Ads, The Yellow Pages etc. No Google Mobile, Googlemaps or Googles for them. What WAS a Smartphone anyway?
Online coupons, ‘text message marketing’ and email marketing were just pipe dreams for many. Mom and pop establishments didn’t even want to find out what direct marketing or the Mobile Web meant. They were busy, real busy trying to stay afloat.
So, what is this “mobile Marketing” everyone is talking about? Here’s a short video to quickly explain some of the elementary tenets. Turn your speakers on now.
Mobile Marketing is but Another Channel
If you watched the video to the end, you would have figured out how easily this channel could be adapted to a business of any size for profit. Contrary to the warped message circulating out there, it will not cost an arm and a leg to get on the bandwagon.
Mobile coupons, mobile ads and mobile messaging are all within your reach. The mobile internet is yours for the taking, and not just to download mobile ringtones either.
However, the window of opportunity is very narrow. 2011 promises to be the year when most large businesses realize that they are leaving business on the table by not going mobile. Smaller businesses, historically are a bit slower to join the Early Adapters. The ones who do take advantage of the mobile web will realize a substantial business advantage as a reward, over their competitors for years to come.
